Biju Janata Das President Naveen Patnaik declared candidates for nine assembly seats and Cuttack parliamentary seats

Bhubaneswar :1/04/19: Chief Minister and Biju Janata Das President Naveen Patnaik today declared candidates for nine assembly seats and Cuttack parliamentary seats in upcoming polls.

Patnaik re-nominated Bhartruhari Mahtab for Cuttack Lok Sabha seat while denying party ticket to Shashi Bhusan Behera, finance minister in the outgoing government. Behera was representing Jayadev assembly seat. Former minister Arabinda Dhali was nominated to fight polls in Jayadev assembly seat. The regional party has also dropped former minister and Bari sitting MLA Debasis Nayak from the candidates’ list.

Nine candidates selected for assembly seats are :

1-Basta- Nityananda Sahu, 2-Jayadev – Arabinda Dhali, 3-Chilika- Prasant Jagadeb,4-Bari- Sunanda Das, 5-Begunia- Rajendra Sahu, 6- Khurda- Jyoti Rindranath Mitra, 7-Morada- Rajkishore Das, 8-Deogarh-Romancha Ranjan Biswal, 9-Rairangpur- Basanti Marandi,
