From turmeric powder to sandalwood paste, multani mitti to cocoa powder, beetroot paste to mint leaves and tomato paste, all the colours were available for the people to celebrate Holi – the herbal way. Since these are ingredients either from our kitchen or garden, they cause no harm to the skin and eyes, which is the reason why Swapna Pati decided to start the concept of Herbal Holi eight years back. “I always wanted to make the society aware of the ill-effects of using chemicals mixed in colours. Holi is a festival which should be enjoyed without worrying about the damaging impact the colours can have on our skin. These herbal colours are not just easily available in every household, they cause no damage to the skin whatsoever.

For Ollywood superstar Sabyasachi too,  have supported the cause. “Look at me, I am totally coloured with turmeric and multani mitti and instead of worrying what impact the colours will have on my skin, I am confident that my skin tone will get better tomorrow! On a serious note, I am really glad that I am a part of this event and so many people have come forward to enjoy and have a safe Holi. I would like to thank Swapna Pati Foundation.
