Former BJD MLA from Dhenkanal Nabin Nanda with many of his supporters joined Congress

Bhubaneswar:20/3/19: Senior leader and former BJD MLA from Dhenkanal Nabin Nanda along with many of his supporters today joined Congress here.

Nanda joined the party in the presence of Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) President Niranjan Patnaik and other senior party leaders at the party headquarters here.

Welcoming Nanda to the party fold, Patnaik said the joining of the veteran leader and his supporters will certainly strengthen the party organisation.

Notably, BJD had suspended Nanda from the party in July last year after he was arrested from a spa in Kolkata where a sex racket was allegedly running in the guise of a massage centre.

Following his suspension, Nanda had lashed out at the ruling Biju Janata Dal for suspending him without issuing any show-cause notice and alleged that a coterie of tainted leaders is calling the shots in BJD now.
