Sundergarh Special Development Council Chairperson Kusum Tete resigned from her postion

Sundergarh:17/3/19: Senior BJD leader Kusum Tete today resigned as the Sundergarh Special Development Council Chairperson citing personal reasons.

She sent her resignation letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. She is likely to join the BJP.

She was appointed as the Sundargarh Special Development Council Chairperson on February 5 by Chief Minister, just a before senior Congress leader from Sundergarh Jogesh Singh’s induction in BJD. Tete had initially protested Singh’s inclusion in the party.

Tete unsuccessfully contested the 2014 Assembly election against Singh. This time, she was also an aspirant for party ticket for Sundergarh Assembly constituency.

But party president and CM Patnaik inducted senior Congress leader and sitting Sundergarh MLA Jogesh Singh in the party. Later, Singh resigned as MLA too.

Sources said Tete will soon resign from the BJD.
