Biju Janata Dal launched ‘Haq Maguchi Odisha’

Bhubaneswar: 12/3/19:The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday launched ‘Haq Maguchi Odisha’ (Odisha demands its rights) campaign in protest against the alleged indifferent attitude of the Centre towards Odisha.

As part of the campaign, members of the BJD’s student and youth wings carried out a mass rally at Lower PMG in Bhubaneswar and raised slogans against the BJP-led government at the Centre.

The BJD, which has been raising the bogey of ‘Central neglect’, demanded replies from the Central government. The issues raised by the ruling party are:

The special state category status for Odisha was the main point of the BJP’s 2014 election manifesto. However, the saffron party forgot the poll promise after coming to power.
