Ananta Naryan Jena appointed as the chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority

Bhubaneswar:7/3/19: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday appointed former Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena as the chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA).

Jena will assume the office by replacing Housing and Urban Development Minister Niranjan Pujari.

It was speculated that Jena will be a face of Odisha’s ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) to contest the ensuing general polls. But with the latest task assigned to Jena, it is clear that he will not be a candidate in the polls this time
