Dharemndra Pradhan distributed the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan (PM-SYM) pension cards

Bhubaneswar:5/3/19: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharemndra Pradhan today distributed the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan (PM-SYM) pension cards to select beneficiaries here.

The national pension scheme for workers and labourers of unorganised sector was announced in the interim budget in February this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the PM-SYM Yojana at Vastral in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

It will provide monthly pension of 3,000 rupees to the employees of unorganised sector after 60 years of age.

 Speaking on this occasion, the Union Minister said that launching of Shram Yogi Man Dhan Yojana is the extension of various social security schemes implemented during the last five years of the Modi Government.

He said that it is the world’s largest welfare scheme and social security coverage which will benefit over 42 crore people working in various job roles in unorganized sectors and support them with a monthly pension of Rs 3000 from the age of 60.
