Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attend Ujjwala Didi Samavesh

Bhubaneswar:23/2/19: Union Petroleum and Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today reached out to Ujjwala beneficiaries here and said the scheme has become a symbol of progress.

Ujjwala Didi is woman volunteers who supports and gives services to Ujjwala beneficiaries.

Addressing Ujjwala Didi Samavesh here, the Union Minister said nearly 40 lakh poor women of Odisha received LPG connection under the Ujjwala scheme.

“Ujjwala scheme has become a symbol of progress. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana has grown leaps and bounds not only in Odisha but also in the entire country. It has transformed the lives of seven crore poor families in the country, including 40 lakh families in Odisha. It is driving remarkable social transformation, which is in turn, influencing the holistic development of the country,” said Pradhan.
