Commissioner of Police felicitated Abhijita Mahapatra for showing exemplary courage in nabbing one chain snatchers

Bhubaneswar:23/2/19: Commissioner of Police Satyajit Mohanty today felicitated Abhijita Mahapatra of Malaya Vihar in Mancheswar for showing exemplary courage in nabbing one chain snatchers.

The top cop honoured the Abhijita with Rs 5,000 cash award and commendation letter.

She fought off two robbers who allegedly tried to snatch her chain in Malaya Vihar area under Mancheswar police station today.

While she was going to market, two bike borne men intercepted her and pushed her and tried to snatch her gold chain.

However, she immediately resisted their loot attempt and caught hold of her gold chain. The scuffle continued for five minutes. Hearing her screaming, two people rushed to her help. While one miscreant managed to flee from the spot, another did not succeed in fleeing from Abhijita’s clutches.
