Coordination meeting of four States is being held to prevent possible eruption of violence in upcoming election

Bhubaneswar22/2/19:: In a bid to tackle left wing extremism ahead of ensuing polls, an interstate coordination meeting involving top cops besides para-military forces of four States is being held in Bhubaneswar to prevent possible eruption of violence in the coming Lok Sabha and assembly polls.

Senior police officials of Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Telengana besides officials of Central reserve police force and border security force are taking part in the meet to chalk out strategy for peaceful polls.

There will be interstate of sharing of data, intelligence and relevant information with neighbouring States’ police to curb acts of Maoists violence. The sharing will also be on to keep a tab on arms and drug smuggling, said Director General of Odisha Police, R. P. Sharma.
