45,282 schools in Odisha are bereft of water supply to toilets

Bhubaneswar 11/2/19: A whopping 45,282 schools in Odisha are bereft of water supply to toilets. As a result, the sanitation and hygiene scenario in government-run schools is left much to be desired.

Due to absence of water facility in toilets, sanitation and hygiene has taken a major beating.

Of the 58,412 government schools in the State, 224 schools still do not toilet facility. Bhadrak district tops the list with 23 schools in the district have no access to toilets, according to government report laid in the State assembly.
