Odisha Chief Minister wrote to Ram Paswan to release of funds against subsidy bills of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation amounting to ₹3,654.41 crore

Bhubaneswar:8/2/19:Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik wrote to Union Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan, seeking his intervention and direction to Department of Food & Public Distribution, Government of India for immediate release of funds against subsidy bills of Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC), amounting to ₹3,654.41 crore, including advance subsidy bills up to March 2019. He said the huge pendency is creating shortage of funds for OSCSC and immediate release will ensure timely payment to farmers.
He added, Odisha Government had transferred ₹7,600 crore through DirectBenefitTransfer to farmers of the state last year and has already transferred ₹6,000 crore this year against procurement of 40 lakh MT paddy.
