Cuttack:2/2/19: Odisha government today extended the tenure of Justice MM Das Commission probing into multi-crore chit fund scam by six months.

The tenure was to end on Feb 4, 2019. With the extension of the deadline, the commission’s tenure will end after six months.

According to reports, Justice MM Das Commission has identified another 5,000 small investors in the sixth phase.

Earlier, the commission had verified total 5.93 lakh affidavits in five phases. In the sixth phase, 2,24,253 affidavits submitted by the small depositors are being verified.
