Xiaomi Redmi Go spotted on Phillipines e-commerce store, price revealed

Newdelhi:1/2/19:Xiaomi introduced its first Android Go phone aka Redmi Go earlier this week. The company revealed the complete specs of the Redmi Go along with everything else that the Android Go phone offers. But the company didn’t reveal the price of the Redmi Go. Looks like now the price of the Xiaomi Android Go phone has been revealed as the phone goes on pre-orders for Philippine peso 3,990 in Philippines.

As of now, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Go only in Philippines and the Android Go now goes on pre-orders in the country. In Philippines the Redmi Go goes on pre-orders for Philippine peso 3,990 which roughly translates to Rs 5400 when translated to INR. Xiaomi is yet to officially announce the India launch timeline of the Redmi Go. But a report leaked a few days ago revealed that three Redmi phones including the Redmi Go phone will come to India before Q1 2019.

This means that Redmi Go could come to India before March. Xiaomi India officially announced that Redmi Note 7 will be coming soon. The company, however, didn’t reveal the exact launch date of the Redmi Note 7 but we believe the company may bring the phone in and around the second week of February.

Xiaomi first Android Go phone, Redmi Go comes with a 5-inch HD display with screen resolution of 720p. On the hardware front, the Android Go phone from Xiaomi is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 chipset which is the same chipset as the one powering the Redmi 5A. The Redmi Go comes packed with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

The Redmi Go comes with a single camera set up on both the back and front panel. The phone includes an 8MP camera which is also paired with LED flash that will possibly help users in clicking well-lit pictures in low light situations. On the front, the Xiaomi Redmi Go Android Go phone comes with a single camera of 5MP. The battery inside the Redmi Go phone is of 3000mAh.

On the software front, the Redmi Go (obviously) runs on Google’s Android Go program, a stripped-down version of Android. Xiaomi is yet to reveal whether the software is based on Android Pie or Android Oreo.
