Naveen Patnaik announced that Rajendra (Autonomous) College will be upgraded to a University.

Bolangir:24/1/19: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday announced that Rajendra (Autonomous) College in Bolangir district will be upgraded to a University.

The CM made this announcement during his visit to the district today. He attended the youth conclave of Biju Yuva Vahini at Rajendra College. He also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated several developmental projects on the occasion.

Addressing the meeting, the CM exhorted the youths to adopt the service-oriented ideology. Service should be the identity of youth society and Odia community, he added.

The CM further said service brings discipline and courage to our lives and inspires us to work collectively. “There is need of hard work, selflessness and commitment for service,” he maintained.

Thousands of youths from Bolangir, Kalahandi, Sonepur and Nuapada district participated in the youth conclave. Prior to his Bolangir visit, the CM rolled out projects worth Rs 600 crore in Jharsuguda.
