Odisha Chief Minister congratulated state Police on effective tackling of Left Wing Extremism

Bhubaneswar:19\1\19:At 61st Senior Police Officers’ Conference, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik congratulated Odisha Police on effective tackling of Left Wing Extremism, social awareness through PAREE & smooth conduct of HWC2018. He emphasized modernization, tech, skill upgrades and augmenting of logistics.

He directed focus on protecting rights of women, children, weaker & vulnerable sections of society. Praising new counselling centres in 19 districts to deal with problems of women & children, he urged all remaining districts to open the same.

He paid homage to supreme sacrifices made by policemen in line of duty and praised the determination of the force in handling Maoist menace. He assured that State Government is striving to provide the force a better working environment as well as ensuring their all-round welfare.
