Minor reshuffle at the senior IAS officers’ level,

Bhubaneswar3/1/19:: Effecting a minor reshuffle at the senior IAS officers’ level, Odisha Government has made Dr Krishan Kumar the new Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Cooperation department.

As per the notification, the 2002 batch officer, currently the Vice Chairman of Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and Managing Director of Smart City Ltd, has been given additional charge as Commissioner-cum-Secretary of Cooperation department.

Notably, Krishan Kumar has been instrumental in successfully organizing the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup, .FEST (Bhubaneswar City Festival) and implementing MO Bus & MO Cycle apart from several other projects. This appointment is said to be kept in view of Odisha Government’s recently launched flagship program ‘KAALIA’ scheme for the overall development of farmers.

On the other hand, 1994 batch officer Ranjana Chopra has been appointed as the new Director General of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration.
