Odisha Chief Minister laid foundation stone for the proposed mega drinking water supply project Basudha

Puri:22/11/18: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today laid foundation stone for the proposed mega drinking water supply project Basudha at Gomundia in Brahmagiri Assembly Constituency of Puri district.

The Rs 183 crore-project of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department would benefit 147 villages of Puri and Ganjam districts located on the banks of Chilika lake.

Sources said 92 villages under Krusna Prasad block in Puri district and 55 villages under Chhatrapur block in Ganjam district would get drinking water supply facilities under the project.

Revenue Minister Maheswar Mohanty, MP Pinaki Mishra, MLA Sanja Das Burma and Puri Collector Jyoti Prakash Dash were present at the function, among others.
