Odia cheer-up song ‘‘Asa Kariba Ete Bobbaal, Odisha Naa Heba Global!’ ’With the Hockey World Cup drawing close

Bhubaneswar:8/11/18: With the Hockey World Cup drawing close, the hosts have released an Odia cheer-up song ‘Asa Ete Kariba Bobaal’, sung by popular Bollywood singer Mika Singh.

On the occasion of Diwali, Hockey World Cup 2018 – Host Partner released the Odia cheer-up song for the marquee event. The song is fast becoming popular among the Odia netizens.

This song marked singer Mika’s debut in Odia song. The recording of the song was wrapped up in just four hours and Mika listened to it for 6-7 times before singing it. Besides, Ollywood singer Lipsa has also lent voice to the song.

The foot-tapping cheer-up song with its tagline as ‘Asa Kariba Ete Bobbaal, Odisha Naa Heba Global!’ calls out to all Odia people across the globe to stand united as Bhubaneswar hosts the sports extravaganza.

The music video is directed by Popular Odia film director Susant Mani and produced by Nila Madhab Panda’s Eleeanora Images. While, Sachin Dasburma has penned the lyrics the music has been composed by Goodly Rath.

The 2:20 minute video has been shot in 30 days based on the previous promotional content and audience impact. The video showcases the traditional ‘tadka’ of Odisha incorporated in Hockey.

The makers of the Odia cheer-up song are sure shot that the song will create a wave of interest for Hockey.The mega sports event is scheduled to be held at Kalinga Stadium here from November 28 to December 16. The opening ceremony will be held on November 27 with live performances by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and music legend AR Rahman, who has also composed the official song of the tournament.
