Meeting of Bhubaneswar Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Undertakings) at NALCO

Bhubaneswr:28/120/18:The 9th half-yearly meeting of Bhubaneswar Town Official Language Implementation Committee (Undertakings) was organized yesterday at NALCO’s Corporate Office. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand, CMD, NALCO.

Shri Basant Kumar Thakur, Director (HR), NALCO, Shri P.K. Mahapatra, General Manager, BSNL, Shri Suresh Chandra Hota, Director, Airport Authority of India, Shri Chandan Kumar, General Manager, ITDC, Shri Arindam Bhoumik, Director, ESI Corporation, Shri V.B Gajula, Regional Director, and Shri Sanjay Kumar, DGM, FCI, Shri Ajay Kumar Das, DGM,, National Assurance Co., Shri Javed Reyaz, General Manager(IE & Compliance), NALCO and other Chief Executives of different undertakings graced the occasions as the guests of honor.

Hindi officers, Hindi Translators of above offices along with representatives from BPCL, IOCL, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., New India Assurance Co. Ltd., MMTC, and other CPSUs of Bhubaneswar were also present in the meeting and came up with valuable suggestions to enhance the use of Hindi by organising joint programs.

The 5th issue of Hindi E-magazine ‘Ananta’ was released in the meeting, in which interesting writings in Hindi by the employees and reports of Rajbhasa conferences, workshops, Hindi Kavi Sammelan, Hindi fortnight celebration and special programs were published. In the meeting, arrangements of joint programs, constitution of sub-committees and different initiatives for propagating use of Hindi in Official work were discussed.

In his address, Dr. T.K. Chand, CMD, NALCO, expressed his pleasure on special programs organised by the members and said that for achieving targets of annual program of Hindi, not only hard work but working smartly is also necessary. Sharing NALCO’s efforts for promoting the use of Hindi language, he informed about the Nalco’s Hindi mobile app “Nalco Namasya” that has been developed for benefit of MSMEs who supplies different materials to NALCO. This mobile app helps the small entrepreneurs for registration and availing information’s regarding materials to be supplied to NALCO. Shri Basanta Kumar Thakur, Director (Human Resource), NALCO advised for organising special programs for propagating of Hindi during 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi and World Cup Hockey.

The meeting was coordinated by Shri Hariram Pansari, Member-secretary of the Committee and Sr.Manager (Rajbhasha) of NALCO.
