Govt of Odisha had organised Ecotourism Workshop

Newdelhi:27/10/18:Forest & Environment Department, Govt. of Odisha since 2015 has started promotion of Ecotourism and set up Nature Camps with Night Accommodation facilities at various wildlife areas of state which has received appreciations from every corner of India as well as from outside India. At present facilities have been developed for Night Accommodation at 38 Locations in 23 wildlife/Nature destinations for pleasure stay in the lap of Nature, the online booking of which can be done at www.ecotourodisha.com. Odisha being a part of Eastern Ghats has lot of potential destinations for Ecotourism for its unique Biodiversity with large varieties of Flora  and Fauna. Till now about 70 Tour and Travel Operators of different parts of the Country have been registered through the portal as Booking Agents for promotion of the Ecotourism in the State of Odisha.

Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Forest & Environment Department,  Govt of Odisha, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife), Odisha, Principal Secretary and Director (Tourism), Department of Tourism & Culture, Government of Odisha,  Managing Director, Odisha Forest Development Corporation and other officials of Forest and Tourism dept  was present in the workshop on Eco Tourism held here.
