Bhubaneswar:23/10/18:At Conclave on Capital Goods for Steel Sector: Manufacture in India, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has highlighted that Odisha has emerged as steel hub of the country in the last 18 years. He said that the installed crude steel production capacity has soared to 33 million tonnes per year from just four million in 2000.
As part of the VISION 2030: Development of Downstream Units, Odisha aims to achieve more than 50% value addition to all primary metals produced in the state. He said the government has focused on strengthening the infrastructure in steel sector and invited all to MIO2018 to explore immense opportunities available in mineral rich #Odisha . The state has requisite infrastructure and friendly business ecosystem for the sector to thrive.
