Bhubaneswar:11/10/18:Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has reviewed the situation after CycloneTitli made a landfall near Palasa between 4.30 AM to 5.30 AM. He expressed a sense of relief that the cyclonic storm had a landfall with less severity than expected and appreciated Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha for achieving zerocasualty target.
He directed officials to ensure availability of adequate relief materials and restore essential services where they are disrupted. As #CycloneTitli is expected to move to West Bengal through Odisha, he has ordered them to remain watchful and prepared. He also ordered deployment of two more NDRF teams in Gajapati district.
CM while thanking Facebook team for activating their very useful “I am safe” safety tool for Titli in Odisha, advised all to use technology to reach out to the last person.
All district magistrates have been asked to prepare reports on house and crop damages at the earliest.
