Locals will be allowed through the other three gates of Srimandir after producing identity cards

Puri:3/10/18: The law and order situation which turned violent in the Pilgrim City since today morning has returned to normalcy and the locals can enter through other three gates of Srimandir after showing identity cards, informed Puri Collector Jyoti Prakash Das.

A five-member peace committee meeting comprising of Inspector General (IG), Superintendent of Police under the chairmanship of Puri Collector was held here in the evening, in which various issues were discussed to restore normalcy in the Pilgrim City.

After coming out of the meeting, Puri Collector Jyoti Prakash Das said, “Locals will be allowed through the other three gates of Srimandir after producing identity cards.”

When asked about the morning violence in the city, Das said that the CCTV footage of the whole violence and vandalism are being reviewed by the police under the supervision of IG.
