Students’ union elections in colleges across Odisha will be held on October 11 from 8 am to 2 pm

Bhubaneswar:28/9/18: The Higher Education Department today announced the schedule for students’ union elections in colleges across Odisha.

As per a notification of the department, the polling will be held on October 11 from 8 am to 2 pm. While counting of votes will take place in the afternoon, the results will be declared by evening.

Candidates can file their nomination papers on October 3 and scrutiny of the same will be held on the very day.

The last date of withdrawal of candidature is October 4. Final list of valid candidates will also be published on that day at 5 pm.

The ‘why I stand for’ meeting will be held on October 10 and the oath taking ceremony will take place on October 12 after the elections.
