Talcher:22/9/18 : The opposition parties were playing spoilt sport in stalling the triple talaq bill in Rajya Sabha prompting the NDA government to promulgate an ordinance to put an end the years of suffering of Muslim women in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today while addressing a public meeting in Talcher in Odisha’s Angul district.

To keep intact its vote bank, the opposition did not come forward for safeguarding the lawful rights of Muslim women.The practice of Triple Talaq has caused great injustice among Muslim women. The Triple Talaq has ruined the lives of many women. The promulgation of the triple talaq ordinance has meted out justice to Muslim women from the draconian triple talaq, he said.
