Odisha Higher Education department is planning to changing the existing syllabus

Bhubaneswar:20/9/18; with a view   to  improve quality of education in degree colleges, the Higher Education department is planning to implement new curriculum changing the existing syllabus from next academic session.

Sources close to the development said that a new draft on syllabus has been prepared and sent to the experts committee. After reviewing the draft, the Higher Education department is aiming to implement the new syllabus from 2019-20 academic session.

As per proposals, the syllabus dubbed as ‘model UG’ will be introduced in all the degree colleges affiliated to various universities in the State.

A bank of possible questions will be prepared for the students so that they can make preparation accordingly throughout the year.

The model textbook is on card in Odisha like NCERT model textbooks are introduced in CBSE. The focus will be laid on conducting examination timely and announcement of results.
