Biju Patnaik Himalayan Expedition which will be flagged-off on September 17

Bhubaneswar:12/9/18: A 15-member team including 10 boys and 5 girls will participate in the third edition of the Biju Patnaik Himalayan Expedition which will be flagged-off on September 17. Sports Minister Chandra Sarathi Behera congratulated the members of the expedition today.

“I wish for the success, well-being and safe-return of the whole team in this expedition. This journey will raise their confidence levels to new high,” Behera said.

The team, led by Odisha’s first mountaineer Ganesh Chandra Jena, will start climbing the Himalayas on the 20th of this month. The Sports & Youth Services Department conducts the expedition every year.
