Odisha Chief Minister reviewed the flood situation over video conference

Bhubaneswar:10/9/18:Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik reviewed the flood situation over video conference with District Collectors and sanctioned Gratuitous Relief at ₹60 per day for adults and ₹45 per day for children below 12 years of age in the flood affected Bhadrak, Jajpur and Kendrapara districts. He directed expeditious damage assessment and availing of crucial services such as healthcare and drinking water supply in the affected areas.

About 7.5 lakh people in four Municipalities and 903 villages in 17 blocks of the three districts are affected by heavy precipitation and floods and 50,000 hectares of arable land have been damaged. 40,000 people have been rescued and moved to shelters where they are being served hot cooked meals. More than 90 metric tonnes of cow feed has also been provided in these areas.

User fees for treatment and vaccination of animals is exempted for flood and heavy rain affected blocks in the three districts.
