Odisha government effected a minor reshuffle in the IAS cadre

Bhubaneswar:8/9/18: The Odisha government on Friday effected a minor reshuffle in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre transferring five officials working in different posts.

According to the notification issued by the general administration and public grievance department, the officials have been given new assignments by the order of the Governor.

Higher education director Dhiren Khuar Patnaik has been appointed as the additional commissioner of Gopabandhu Academy of Administration, Bhubaneswar.

The post of additional commissioner of Gopabandhu Academy is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of additional secretary to the government provided in the IAS cadre of the state, the notification stated.

Ratnakar Rout, a 2005 batch IAS, currently posted as the managing director of Odisha Small Industries Corporation, has been appointed as Chief Executive of Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA). The additional appointment of Roopa Mishra, a 2004 batch IAS, as chief executive of OREDA shall stand terminated from the date Rout takes over.

Sarat Chandra Nayak, the present vice-chairman of Cuttack Development Authority, has been appointed as the commissioner of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).

B Parameswaran, a 2008 batch IAS, currently posted as joint secretary to the higher education department has been appointed as director of the higher education department.

Swadha Dev, posted as the deputy secretary to planning and convergence department, has been appointed as additional commissioner of Bhubaneswar Development Authority.
