Monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly begins Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar:3/9/18: The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly, which begins on Tuesday, is poised to be stormy and noisy with the Opposition gearing up to put the Naveen Patnaik government on the back foot over a series of issues.

The prevailing public issues like law and order situation, farmers’ suicide, bureaucratic corruption, the formation of Vidhan Parishad, the setting up of Lokayukta are likely to dominate the monsoon session proceedings.

Meanwhile security has been stepped up in view of the assembly session with a three-tier security blanket thrown around the state assembly.

The monsoon session, which will continue till September 20, will have 11 working days. Besides, six bills will be tabled.
