Balasore :28/8/18: The administration of Balasore district today got rid of the signposts installed by West Bengal government in Odisha territory.

The signposts were removed near Udayapur beach in Bhogarai block. Earlier the Bengal authorities had been told to voluntarily remove the signboards. However they did not respond. So we were forced to remove these posts, said officials.It may be recalled here that Bengal government had arbitrarily installed the signpost at the serene beach claiming that the area belonged to Bengal revenue territory. The signpost installation by the Bengal government had sparked strong public protest.
