First riverine port in Odisha approved


Bhubaneswar:30/7/18;Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik approvedOdisha’s first riverine port in Kendrapada district to be set up with private sector partnership. The port will boost infrastructure, usher prosperity in the district, augment capacity of maritime sector in our State and provide a fillip to Make In Odisha efforts. With a planned capacity of 45.88 million tonnes per annum the envisaged investment is ₹ 2,110 crores. The port will be connected to National Hinghway 5-A and Haridaspur- Paradip railway line.
