First heritage cabinet decided to set up the Odia University at Satyabadi

Bhubaneswar: 27/7/18:The first heritage cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday decided to set up the Odia University at Satyabadi in Puri district.

The state government would provide 25 acres of land for the purpose, said chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi.

The heritage cabinet also approved to formulate Odia Culture and Heritage Policy for preservation and proliferation of art, culture and classical Odia language.

To convert the Ananda Bhawan Museum & Learning Centre at Cuttack into a trust in line with Netaji Museum Trust, the heritage cabinet also approved to create a corpus fund.

For the smooth and smart functioning of all public libraries, the cabinet also approved a separate post od director to manage the public libraries.
