Naveen Patnaik held emergency meeting and reviewed statewide situation arising from incessant rains

bhu8baneswar:21/7/18:Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik held emergency meeting and reviewed statewide situation arising from incessant rains. He directed various agencies – Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha, Orissa Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), Housing & Urban Development Department, Govt. of Odisha, Director General Fire Services, Medical Services & District Administrations to remain vigilant and prepare for any exigencies, giving utmost priority to ensure safety & security of people in waterlogged areas.

He was reassured that water levels in major rivers were being closely monitored and ODRAF & Fire Services have already swung into action for pumping out water from affected areas of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack. Cooked meals are being provided to 16,000 people and 181 pumps pressed into service in Cuttack.
