Four associates of gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito sent to Barimul jail

Kendrapara:18/7/18; were produced before the judicial magistrate first class court at Rajnagar on Wednesday evening in connection with their involvement in tender fixing and extortion.

They were later sent to Barimul jail in the district after the court rejected their bail petition.

The arrested persons were identified as Sheikh Abdullah alias Rajesh, Imtiyaz Khan and Jahangir Khan of Manglabagh in Cuttack and Golden Pappu alias Mohammad Abdullah Asif of Lalbagh police limits.

The four accused were arrested on the basis of the complaint of Premananda Lenka of Rajnagar in Kendrapara district. Lenka had lodged a complaint against the four accused at Crime Branch office in Bhubaneswar on July 11 about fixing of tender of projects worth Rs 7 crore under the water resources department.

Besides, the accused are facing many criminal cases at different police stations across the state. The arrested persons were associated with Tito’s criminal gang and involved in serious crimes like threatening, extortion, criminal intimidation, tender fixing, firing and bombing.
