Extending helping hand for making Puri a pollution free city NALCO authorities flagged off five battery operated vehicles for divyangs and senior citizens

Puri:9/7/18; Extending helping hand for making Puri a pollution free city ahead of the world famous Ratha Jatra, NALCO authorities flagged off five battery operated vehicles for divyangs and senior citizens here.

The free service was officially kicked off by NALCO CMD Tapan Kumar Chand on premises of Jagannath Ballav Mutt parking on Sunday.

Initially, five vehicles will be in service to carry passengers from Jagannath Ballav parking place to Sri Mandir.

Later, as many as 25 battery operated vehicles will be plying on the Grand Road in phases to provide free service to divyangs, senior citizens and ailing persons visiting Jagannath Temple.

The service is already operational at Bhubaneswar and Puri railway stations.
