Bhubaneswar:7/7/18; Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today dedicated the Bhubaneswar New Railway Station to public.
The station will ensure better communication for people of northern parts of the city and improve local business and communication, said Pradhan at the inaugurated ceremony.
The railway station was inaugurated between Mancheswar and Barang, around 14 kilometres from Bhubaneswar main station.
It will provide better connectivity to the passengers and people of northern parts of the city and improve local business and communication.
Locals from Barang, Nandankanan, Raghunathpur will be benefited by setting up small shops, businesses, vending zones and plying vehicles from and to the new railway station.
It will also help in reducing the rush at Bhubaneswar station.
Initially, three major trains – Puri-Howrah-Puri passenger, Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela passenger and Cuttack-Berhampur-Cuttack MEMU will stop at the new railway station on an experimental basis for a period of six months.
Besides, a new mobile application on Rath Yatra was inaugurated today by the Union Minister, which will help the tourists in getting information regarding different trains to Puri available for the festival.
