Heavy rain brought Bhubaneswar to a halt causing a traffic gridlock

Bhubaneswar: 30/6/18:This afternoon rain returned to Bhubaneswar city disrupting normal life, flooding roads and submerging vehicles in several localities.

Just one round of heavy showers caused destructive flash flooding at several places in Odisha capital while Nayapalli area witnessed a state of emergency on Saturday afternoon.

Numerous vehicles were submerged in waist-deep rain waters in front of ISKON temple and thousands of commuters were stranded due to water logging at various places in the city.

The heavy rain brought Bhubaneswar to a halt causing a traffic gridlock. This was the second heavy downpour in the week.
