Nearly 4 kilo metre stretch road In Lanjigarh being covered under the streetlight system by Vedanta

Lanjigarh19/6/18: Nearly 4 kilo metre stretch road In Lanjigarh which was plunged in darkness had turned unsafe for pedestrians and motorists is being covered under the streetlight system, thanks to an initiative by Vedanta.

Mr. Balabhadra Majhi, MLA Lanjigarh in presence Fakir Mohan Majhi, Chairman Lanjigarh block, Mrs. Tulasi Majhi, Vice Chairman Lanjigarh block, Mr. Pradip Majhi, Samiti member Lanjigarh GP, Ms. Mani Majhi, Sarpanch Lanjigarh GP along with Mr. KA Chowdary, Project Head Vedanta Ltd Lanjigarh, Mr. Phillip Campbell, Director Technical and Mrs. Harmeet Sehra, Chief Community development Officer, Vedanta Ltd., Lanjigarh today laid the foundation stone of the public utility project.

The local MLA Majhi speaking on the occasion appreciated the effort of Vedanta for proactive community development and encouraged to continue its various ongoing efforts for the well-being of the nearby community.

Project Head Vedanta Ltd Lanjigarh Chowdary reiterated the effort of Vedanta towards development of the region as a necessity. Industrialization and community development complement each other and with an integrated approach, the region shall be developed sooner, he said.
