Parichay Foundation conferred Shrie Awards

Remember your roots and the path to success,” said eminent journalist and Padma Bibhusan awardee Prabhu Chawla, at the third edition of Shrie Awards held here on Saturday.

The eminent journalist was all praise for the unique and noble effort of Parichay Foundation to award men for their contribution to society.

Parichay Foundation has been working for the economic and social uplift of deprived women and children in the urban slums of Odisha and Delhi for the last 10 years.

The Shrie Lifetime Achievement Award was given to founder of ‘Ruchi Spices’ Sarat Kumar Sahoo.  Jagadananda, Guru Banamali Maharana,Krishna Beura, Subrat Pani, Dr. Dipak Ranjan Das, Sudhir Kumar Raut , Arindam Das, Pankaj Bhue, Dayanidhi Dadhich,Trinath
Patra, Kalee Prasana Patnaik were felicitated and awarded for their achievements.

Renowned Santoor maestro Tarun Bhattacharya’s captivating performance was a delightful experience for the audience.

The award ceremony, held on the eve of Father’s Day, was followed by an interesting Father’s Day panel discussion moderated by Diksha Tiwari. Akash Das Nayak, Ananya Sritam Nanda, Rashmi Sahoo and Saswat Hoshi, who were accompanied by their fathers, participated.

MP Prasanna Patasani Mishra and MLA Priyadarshi Mishra were other dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, founder of Parichay Foundation Rosalin Patasani Mishra said, “Without a man’s support a woman cannot achieve everything. Every successful woman has gone through her share of struggles, but a man’s support, be it her brother, father or husband, makes her journey easy.’’
