1000 Candidates Shortlisted by 41 leading corporates at Rojgar Mela In Khurda

Bhubaneswar:6/5/18; Celebrating the spirit of New India, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) jointly organized a Kaushal and Rojgar Mela (placement drive) at New Women’s College in Khurda on Saturday.
Over 5,000 people from different walks of life participated in the event. A total of 3,000 candidates had registered for the drive, which saw more than 1,000 being shortlisted by 41 leading corporates such as Eureka Forbes, Flipkart, Ola, Reliance Digital, VLCC, V Mart, Shahi Exports, Talwalkars and Lakme, among others.Addressing the gathering as chief guest, Union Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Today, our government completed four successful years of governance with the support from the people of this country. Our vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is now gradually seeing the light of the day.”

He said the campaign was initiated to put the spotlight back on ‘Graam’, our villages. “This New India of our dreams can be a reality only if we strengthen our villages and our panchayats, the roots of our democracy. And as the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, my endeavour is to provide access to quality skill training in both short-term and long-term courses at the local levels,” he added.
