Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated ‘Odisha Skills 2018’

Bhubaneswar:29/4/18: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated ‘Odisha Skills 2018’, the state-level chapter of India Skill competition organised by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) here.

Coinciding with the birth anniversary of the architect of modern Odisha Madhusudan Das, The two-day competition, which began yesterday, has about 7000 participants from across the state competing in six sectors and 25 skills.Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said the competition would give a platform to the students of Odisha to hone their talents and showcase their skills in the national and international fora.

skilled in  Odisha signed MoUs with top international & national Universities & institutes like Massachusetts University, Texas Instrument University, CDAC and Film and Television Institute of India in presence of Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik The partnerships will strengthen skill ecosystem & make Odisha’s skilled youth best in the world.

Speaking on the occasion, CM stated that Technical education and vocational training are at the forefront of state Government’s economic planning for sustainable growth. Odisha has emerged a leader in skill training in the country with Skilled In Odisha transforming into a global brand.

He called upon big industries to be involved in skilling by setting up advanced laboratories and centres of excellence in technical institutions in the state. He wished the participants of the Odisha skill’s all success
