Voting for elections to the Hindol Notified Area Council (NAC) was held

Dhenkanal:3/4/18: Voting for elections to the Hindol Notified Area Council (NAC) in Dhenkanal district and Atabira NAC in Bargarh district began this morning at 8 am amid tight security arrangements and will continue till 5 pm.

As many as 9,647 people will exercise their franchise today at 16 polling booths in all 16 wards of the Hindol NAC. Besides, four sector officers and three sector magistrates have been engaged for the 16 wards.

Similarly, the Bargarh district administration has made all necessary arrangements in Attabira NAC for smooth conduct of the polls. Around 13,000 voters are slated to cast their votes in the election to decide the fate of 38 candidates.

Meanwhile, police forces have been deployed in both the NACs to maintain law and order and avoid any unpleasant situation during the voting.

Counting of votes will take place on April 5.
