New bridge on Mahanadi river from Cuttack to Nuapatna as Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Setu.

Bhubaneswar:29/3/18 In  a tribute to Madhu Babu, the state Government has named the new bridge on Mahanadi river from Cuttack to Nuapatna as Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Setu. Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik will dedicate the 3.13 km bridge to the people on OdishaDivas.

The bridge has been constructed at a cost of ₹157Cr bridge and will shorten the Cuttack-Dhenkanal route by over 16 km. It has been constructed entirely from state’s own resources.

Connecting major pilgrim site of Dhabaleswar temple and the heritage village of Nuapatna, known worldover for its handloom & Khandua sarees, the bridge will boost tourism and socio-economic growth in the area.
