3rd Golden Triangle International Film Festival concluded

 

Bhubaneswar:13/2/18;3rd Golden Triangle International Film Festival  organized by Golden Triangle Charitable Trust, was conclude on February 12 with felicitations and awards given to the delegates and films. Jaydev Bhawan in Odisha capital had screen the last directorial venture of popular actor-director, Lekh Tandon, known for his movies like Amrapali and Agar Tum Na Hote. His movie ‘Phir Usi Mod Par’, which revolves around the controversial issue of Triple Talaq.

Audience are treated to world-class movies from across the globe with 56 films being screened at the festival that began in 2016 with 17 films. “The first edition had 11 international films. Last year, 35 films were screened and this year, the number of registrations rose to 132. Of them, only a selected few are being screened,” said Priya Ranjan Sahoo, president of the festival.

Among the movies screened are four short Odia movies – Thikona, Nirupaya, Brunda and Pension, of which Pension is directed by Vishal Pattnaik.The award is given in nine category,In Indian short film segment  Odia film Pension directed by Jeypore based director adjudged as Best film while Russian short film Apple of love selected in international category. Among the feature film Hindi film Gaon win best feature film award in Indian segment Afghanistan film 21 Days Later received best film in international segment. Neha  who had essayed vital role in Gaon selected as best actress and 21 days later actor selected  as Best actor,Best music awards goes to Hindi feature film Phir Ushi mood Per.Afghanisthan film 21Days Later also get award for Best Direction,Critic award given toHindi feature film Adrishya.Bhubaneswar MP Prasana Pata sani,Film director Raju Mishra also in the dias,Trust secretary had told about the odyssey of Golden triangle International Film festival.Film Director Avatar Singh had head the jury  to selected the film.
