Bhubaneswar:10/2/18;Third Edition of Golden Triangle International Film Festival was inaugurated at Jayadev Bhawan here on Friday evening.
The inaugural session of the film festival organised by Golden Triangle Charitable Trust was graced MP Prasanna Patsani, Police Commissioner YB Khurania,Film Director Raju Mishra and secretary of the Trust eminent actress Anu Choudhary has grace theoccasion.
As many as 56 films have been selected for screening during the four-day festival.According to the organisers, the trust holds the responsibility of promoting the exhibition of unique national and international films, facilitating the running of programs related to films, granting awards and celebrating documentaries. In addition to screening films, the trust also likes to create a platform for discussions, networking as well as organising film events and workshops.
The film lovers can witness as many as 56 films this year, informed Golden Triangle Charitable Trust president Priya Ranjan Sahoo.Many film producers, directors and actors from all over the world will participate in the festival
Sahoo also informed that they had received only 17 films in the first edition of the festival, 37 films in the second edition and more than 100 films in the third edition of the festival.“Though we have received more than 100 films this year, for the shortage of time, we will exhibit only 56 films,” he addedIn last two years, awards were given in five categories. But this year, it has been decided that the awards will given in seven categories.The main attraction of the festival will be noted filmmaker Lekh Tandon’s last directorial venture ‘Phir Usi Mod Par’,
