Bhubaneswar:20/1/18;Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik announced formation of Capital Regional Urban Transport which will provide smart transport service across urban areas of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack & Puri-Konark. The service has been formed after merger of transport services of Bhubaneswar-Puri & Cuttack.

More details on the service:
– Paid up capital of ₹1 crore; BDA and CDA to have 60% & 20% stakes respectively
– Development Commissioner to chair the Board of Directors
– Board to have representation from key departments & three Independent Member Directors with expertise in area of transport

Capital Region Urban Transport will augment transport infrastructure and efficiently meet growing transport needs of people in the urban areas.
