Odisha Chief Minister announced a world-class Inter State Bus Terminal at Baramunda by April 2019

Bhubaneswar:11/1/18;Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik announced a world-class Inter State Bus Terminal at Baramunda by April 2019. Conceptualized by BDA and Commerce & Transport Department Government of Odisha , the ISBT will boost intra-city, inter-city and inter-state bus services with state-of-the-art facilities for people in #SmartCity Bhubaneswar.

More details on the ISBT:

• Spread over an area of 15 acres, ₹180Cr project will have a terminal area of 98,239 sq.m. and Commercial area of 21,350 sq.m.
• It will accommodate 1000 buses on daily basis
• Key facilities include commercial office & retail space, multi-level car parking, passenger information display & announcement system, Wi-Fi connectivity, elevators, escalators, pick-up & drop-off for all kinds of vehicles, area-wide real-time parking information display system, CCTV surveillance & treatment system for water, sewage & effluents
• Easy & accessible design for comfort of children, people with mobility limitations and senior citizens

He stated that the design would compliment nearby areas, represent the culture of Bhubaneswar and establish a unique identity for the modern urban centre.
