Janata Bidyapitha Jhimani to have Golden Jubilee :Logo of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the school inaugurated

Paradip, December 23, 2017:Janata Bidyapitha, Jhimani located under Kujanaga block of Jagatsinghpur will celebrate its Golden Jubilee in the third week of April 2018. This was declared by the President of the Old Students’ Association of the School and present principal of Kujanaga College, Dr Prabhas Ranjan Pani during  a grand function held here to inaugurate the logo for Golden Jubilee Celebration.

Noted educationist and founder of the school Dr Satyananada Panda formally inaugurated the logo. Founder Head Master of the school Adwait Charan Swain, former Head Master Mayadhar Das, current Head Mistress Kalpana Sutar, other members of the First Managing Committee of the school Sapani Parida, Bishnu Charan Das, and Kulamani Tarai were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering Dr Panda said as school lays the foundation of knowledge, students have also responsibility to contribute back to the school’s wellbeing and hoped the upcoming golden jubilee will be celebrated in a grand way.

Shri  Swain formally inaugurated the meeting by lighting lamp and shared his experience of difficulties through which the school was built in its initial days. Shri Das introduced the guests and also spoke about his long association with the school.

Early in the morning a bike rally carrying “ Angyamala” and flame from Sarala Temple of Jhankard, Tirtol with hundreds of former students started from Kujanaga and passing through around 20 villages, from where students come, reached school. Shri Pahali Das, student of the first batch received Angyamala from the temple and Bhagyadhara Tarai of the same batch received the flame from the rally at the school.

Former student Dr Ranjan Samal pledged a corpus fund of Rs one lakh which will be used to give scholarships to meritorious students of the school every year.Local PRI memebers former teacher and students of the school were present on the occasion.
